DeAnza Gardens Set to Break Ground Saturday

The ceremony for DeAnza Gardens, a 180-unit family apartment development, is set for 2 p.m. at Alves Lane and Medanos Avenue.
DeAnza Gardens’ rental homes of one to four bedrooms will be available to families earning 30 to 60 percent of the median income.

The Bay Point community is welcoming its newest development, a 180-unit affordable housing project, with open arms — much to the surprise of its developers.
The De Anza Gardens project is the second-largest affordable housing development under construction in Contra Costa County.

It’s first come, first served for 180 affordable apartments in the newly constructed DeAnza Gardens complex as county officials prepare to hand out applications Monday.
Members of the Housing Authority of Contra Costa County will give out applications for the one- to four-bedroom apartments that will make up DeAnza Gardens.
